I.C. Stars | This is a post high school training program in computer technology. Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED. The program is particularly geared to young people that have overcome adversity in their life. Using project-based learning, participants work in teams on a range of projects during this intensive training course and two year practicum. There are 300 learning objectives over the length of three projects. Each project is four weeks long and the initial program wraps up with career readiness training and job shadowing to provide our interns with on-the-job training. Each student earns as much as 1,000 hours of hands-on practical business experience and social media expertise.

National Runaway Switchboard | Offers fee based training for individuals interested helping keep American runaways and at risk youth safe and off the street. Individuals in training must pay for class fees and travel expenses. Utilizes a Solution-Focuses Crisis Intervention Model to support youth, runaway prevention, case management, and the commercial sexual exploitation of children. In Chicago Crisis Line Worker volunteers are needed to help answer more than 300 calls to the hotline a day. Line Workers identify caller needs such as filing abuse reports, finding shelter and making arrangements to return home. Minimum age is 16, must make a 100 hour 1 year commitment.
