Training and Career Pathways
Every day on a CCC project is a chance to get a foot further into the door that leads to a meaningful career, especially in conservation and natural resources. Corpsmembers often get training and guidance from potential future employers.
John Muir Charter School
The mission of John Muir Charter Schools is to meet the unique educational, social and emotional needs of our diverse student population in safe and nurturing environments that foster personal, professional and academic growth. Through collaboration with our partner agencies and relevant, rigorous instruction toward a high school diploma, students gain the skills to achieve lifelong, sustainable employment and become proactive members of their communities.
The Corps Network
Corps are organizations that engage young adults and post-9/11 veterans in service addressing conservation and community needs. Through a defined term of service, Corps participants – or “Corpsmembers” – gain work experience and develop in-demand skills.
Founded in 1985, The Corps Network is the National Association of Service and Conservation Corps. We support Corps through advocacy, providing access to funding and projects, and offering expertise in Corps operations.
Student Conservation Association
The Student Conservation Association (SCA) is America’s conservation corps. Our members protect and restore national parks, marine sanctuaries, cultural landmarks and community green spaces in all 50 states.
SCA’s mission is to build the next generation of conservation leaders and inspire lifelong stewardship of the environment and communities by engaging young people in hands-on service to the land.
