Offers fee based training for individuals interested helping keep American runaways and at risk youth safe and off the street. Individuals in training must pay for class fees and travel expenses. Utilizes a Solution-Focuses Crisis Intervention Model to support youth, runaway prevention, case management, and the commercial sexual exploitation of children.
In Chicago Crisis Line Worker volunteers are needed to help answer more than 300 calls to the hotline a day. Line Workers identify caller needs such as filing abuse reports, finding shelter and making arrangements to return home. Minimum age is 16, must make a 100 hour 1 year commitment.
