Quaker Voluntary Service (QVS) | is an 11-month service opportunity for young adults aged 21-30. While working meaningful social justice oriented jobs with nonprofit organizations that are in alignment with Quaker values, Fellows deepen their Quaker practices around community, sustainability, discernment and simplicity. QVS currently has houses in Boston, Philadelphia, Minneapolis and Portland, OR. Participating Fellows receive room, board, transportation, a monthly stipend, support of QVS staff and local meeting members among many other benefits.
